Blue Boar

Blue Boar is the token sixties nightmare that no Oxbridge college would be complete without. It is situated behind Peckwater quad in such a way that the tourists can’t see it. It is so named because it stands on the location of a former pub, called The Blue Boar.

However, in the traditionally opulent Christ Church spirit, Blue Boar is no mean sixties nightmare. Though it looks like concrete, closer inspection shows that it is Portland stone - very expensive concrete imitation.
