Blue Boar 3:7
Blue Boar 3:7 on Washing Day, Michaelmas term 2003.
Blue Boar 3:7 is (allegedly) the worst room in the entire Blue Boar complex at Christ Church, and was fortunate enough to be inhabited by Statto during his first year.
Bad points
- It is one of the small rooms: rooms on the end of corridors can be significantly larger, with some extra-anomalous rooms in staircase four being almost mansion-like in their size.
- It lies directly above the laundry. This comes with two disadvantages. Firstly, it is a 24-hour source of noise: students aren’t known for keeping good hours when it comes to laundering their clothes. Secondly, there is always a curious aroma, and the laundry seems a good candidate since Statto didn’t like to think it was him.
- It was very cold. It has been suggested that perhaps it would have been less so had Statto not been so stingy as to never turn on the heater. His electricity bill in Michaelmas 2003 was a mere £2.95.
