StikiPædia
StikiPædia was the name given to the encyclopædia which used to be found at www.ktab.co.uk/stiki using Stiki. It has now been outmoded by the KTAB World Factbook at factbook.ktab.co.uk. This page is preserved for archive purposes.
Nomenclature
Stikipædia is a portmanteau (or blend) of Stiki and encyclopædia, demonstrating its two key features:
#It has been made with Stiki.
#It is an encyclopædia.
It is so named in order to conform to the quaint English tradition of spelling encyclopædia with a ridiculous and unnecessary ae ligature. It is incorrect to refer to is as Stikipedia or Stikipaedia, but it is very important for the sake of search engines that these two words feature somewhere on this page.
Smelly Americans with their smelly American “English” “encyclopedia” should stop complaining.
It also provides a use for the HTML entity æ.
How to use Stikipædia
Using your eyes and grasp of written language, translate the strange symbols on the computer screen before you into words and, ultimately, sentences. Each should contain at least a small amount of meaning. Having extracted this meaning from some, none or all of the sentences in a given article, you can either click on a link and read another, or unplug your computer at the wall and throw it into the nearest lake.
See the example article for further information.
